I didn't know this about him. It makes sense. I've warmed to him over recent years, watching Kitchen Nightmares and seeing how much joy he gets from seeing relationships improve when businesses turn around. He talks tough but he genuinely seems to enjoy making the difference.

I still can't forget, though, meeting him in London's South Bank once when his film crew grabbed me while walking so that Gordon could ask me if I'd ever eat fish from the Thames. It happened so quick that when I saw who was asking the question I admit I quaked a little in my shoes, he is pretty intimidating when you've seen him be so angry for so many years!
