Yep, sounds like my experience over the last few years. Now I'm 53 and it's not going anywhere. British women quite often get hormone replacement therapy to help with this, but I live in Spain, where women do not. So, my tearful visit to a doctor to try and ask for hormones to help balance out my mood ended up in a prescription for anti-depressants, which I most certainly don't want.

I don't think it's ever easy to know how much is the menopause and how much is something else. I have a 5-year-old and we just moved city, my husband is looking for work, and I'm working freelance to pay the bills. It's hot every day (we live in Valencia, Spain). I'm pretty exhausted. Is it the menopause, and/or my life?! Who knows?
